Chelsea Nurses Elected to NJ Nursing Board
Dawn Jones, RN, Health Services Director of the Chelsea assisted living residence in Fanwood, and Elaine Jeffers, RN, Regional Health Services Director for Chelsea Senior Living, have been elected to the board of the New Jersey chapter of the American Assisted Living Nurses Association.
The AALNA is a national organization that supports nurses who work in the assisted living industry, offering a certification specificallly for the practice of assisted living nursing.
Ms. Jeffers, an RN with more than 30 years of experience, has been elected President of the NJ Chapter. She oversees nursing operations at Chelsea's New York properties and is involved in policy making company wide.
Ms. Jones, elected to Secretary, has been with The Chelsea at Fanwood since 2011. She earned her nursing degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and has wide ranging nursing experience including long term care, oncology and hospice. She is a Certified Assisted Living Nurse and a resident of Edison.
Both women were elected to their positions at the January meeting of the AALNA New Jersey chapter.
