The Friends of the Scotch Plains Library is currently accepting book donations for its book sales, which will be held for children's books on March 13 and 14 and for adult books on March, 18, 19 and 20.

Donations may be made during regular business hours at the library from Jan. 22 through Feb. 28.

The group also seeks volunteers to help sort the books prior to the sales. Assistance is needed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 28; noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 31; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 6; noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 14; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 20; noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 12; and noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 28.

Tasks include transferring donations from main floor to downstairs meeting room using carts and lift, sorting books by category, boxing books by category and transferring them to the store room.

You can drop by any time during the sessions and training is provided for those new to presorting.
