The IHM
8th Grade Boys Travel Basketball team coached by Mike Borik and Paul Walker
defeated the St. Helens Varsity team coached by Dave Collum by a score of 46 -
35 on Saturday, December 22, 2012 to win the Varsity Red Boys Division of the
St. Helens ECC Christmas Basketball Tournament. Team MVPs were selected by the
opposing coaches after each game of the Tournament with IHM's Dan Tomlinson,
Peter Warren, Max More and Andrew Borik achieving this recognition. David
Walker, Joshua Cochran-Carney and Patrick Ellman provided the interior offense
and rebounding for IHM, while Patrick Dill, Luke Uriarte, Alex Poulios, Robbie
Viglione and Ravi Desai supplied excellent defense and outside shooting
throughout the Tournament. This IHM team has an overall record of 9 - 4 thus
far this season.
