Scotch Plains Public Library Career Networking Group - "Into the Fire" Register Now
"Into The Fire - How a Firefighter Used His Skills to Survive Unemployment and Land a New Job" will be presented by the Scotch Plains Library’s Career Networking Group this evening, Monday, January 23 @ 6:30pm.
The courage and training required to run into a burning building is akin to what it takes to survive the job hunt. When Brian Mecca learned that his corporate job was going up in smoke, he used his firefighter instinct and skills to launch his job search. Brian landed a new job in only six
weeks. Now this Director of Network Computing Services and Captain of the Scotch Plains Fire Department will share what thirty-five years of firefighting and five years of networking have taught him about being prepared for job change.
Brian Mecca is a member of the Scotch Plains Public Library Career Networking Group and has over two thousand Linked In connections. He has a reputation for giving back to the community. Brian actively participates in career networking groups and likes to help job seekers get
noticed.
