Buying a Christmas Tree? Check These Places First

A Patch guide to tree vendors in Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

 

Scrambling to find a Christmas tree this season? Waiting until this weekend to spruce up your living room? Before you start cruising the streets of Scotch Plains and Fanwood, trailing the scent of pine needles, check out our guide to where you can find that perfect fir or cypress, plus a number of holiday decorations and decorating services.

The Fanwood Lions Club, with assistance from the Fanwood Fire Department, is holding its annual Christmas tree sale and fundraiser at LaGrande Park. Between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. weekends, the sale offers Douglas, Fraser and Balsam firs, as well as wreaths and roping.

Sanguiliano's sells a wide range of Christmas trees, and will also help buyers set-up the trees at home. It offers holiday decorations, such as wreaths and swags. Browse the inventory Thursday night at Sanguiliano's "Holiday Party and Shopping Bazaar," running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Parker Gardens also offers complimentary hot beverages that you can enjoy gathered around a cheerful outdoor fire situated conveniently on the scenic 14 acre facility. You can also go home with wood for your fireplace and stockings to hang on it as well.
