Car Strikes Bicyclist at Intersection of South Ave. and La Grande Ave.

Bicyclist suffers numerous injuries

 


A 63-year-old bicyclist, Jose G. Grosso, from Rahway was struck by a car at the intersection of South Ave. and La Grande Ave. in Fanwood at 4:19 p.m. on Friday.

The driver of the car is a 75-year-old Fanwood resident. According to the Fanwood Police Department, the case is still being investigated and there are no charges at this time.

Grosso suffered numerous injuries and was transported to UMDNJ, where he is currently being treated. None of the injuries are life threatening.

Fanwood Police Department urges any witnesses to call the department at 908-322-5000.

..."where he is currently being held"??? I would suggest that the writer of this article become more proficient with his "wording"....really?.."being held" at a hospital?...makes it sound as if the victim (the cyclist) is being held at police headquarters.....Get a clue....how about "he is being cared for at a local hospital".....

Maybe the victim is being held for further testing. Calm down Codyblue. And also the writer is female, not male.
