The Borough of Fanwood distributed the following bulletin to residents throughout Fanwood:

URGENT PUBLIC SERVICE BULLETIN
As of October 30, 2012 1:00 pm

FROM THE OFFICES OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE RICHARD TRIGO AND MAYOR OF FANWOOD COLLEEN MAHR:

THERE IS MASSIVE DAMAGE IN THE BOROUGH OF FANWOOD. THERE IS NO POWER WITHIN THE BOROUGH.

UPDATE FROM THE AMERICAN WATER COMPANY:

  • WATER IN FANWOOD IS SAFE TO DRINK
  • WATER PRESSURE IS VERY LOW
  • CONSERVE WATER

UPDATE FROM PUBLIC SERVICE:

  • NO ESTIMATES OF TIME FOR RESTORATIONS AT THIS TIME
  • STATEWIDE 2.4 MILLION ARE WITHOUT POWER
  • NO GAS STATIONS IN FANWOOD ARE OPEN

CELL PHONE CHARGING:

  • USE YOUR CAR CHARGERS FIRST
  • CHARGING STATIONS AVAILABLE AT THE LIBRARY AND RESCUE SQUAD 9 AM - 5PM

PLEASE CHECK ON YOUR NEIGHBORS.
911 IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY.
STAY HOME AND OFF THE ROADS.
ASSUME THAT ANY LINE DOWN IS LIVE!

Hi frink, called out on Twitter to see if anyone knew.

What I know is that earlier today Shell on Raritan Road in Clark was open and Sunoco in Cranford. I didn't see any open stations in Fanwood but I didn't make it all the way through Scotch Plains. I'll let you know if I find out any.
