I wish we could somehow incorporate the smell of that delicious fish into the video, but web technology hasn't quite gotten there yet. Seriously, even if you don't drink that much, it's worth the trip just for the excellent food. I know some of you Flannery's frequenters can attest to that.

I completely agree! The quality of the food is top notch. If you're looking for a room full of friendly faces with the flavors of the unexpected, Flannery's is the place to be. A big thanks to Brian, Stephanie and the patrons of Flannery's for letting us stop by!

Unfortunately I have walked away from this place more than I have been able to stay. Place is too small and hopefully they can address it. I have given up trying anymore. Not worth the hassle.

Waaaay too small to be a bar. I've been here several times and left soon after. You'd have to be an idiot to pay these drink prices and stand around drinking on the sidewalk.

Hey everyone, great comments! Keep them coming! By the way, Brian Walter did say that Flannery's is looking to expand their space. They often have big parties in the space out back. In the summer, Flannery's utilizes misters outside (heaters in the winter) to keep guests comfortable. That's what those metal, umbrella shaped structures out front are.

Geoeag, I don't watch a lot of TV either, but you don't even need one to watch it. Let's Talk Local is a web series exclusive to Scotch Plains Fanwood Patch. You can watch it by clicking the "play" button on the featured picture of this article.

Basically, each episode we feature a local business, person, or landmark from Scotch Plains or Fanwood. Some examples of the episodes we have include:

Episode One: We look at Little Shop of Comics
http://scotchplains.patch.com/articles/let-s-talk-local-episode-1#video-8767825

Episode Two: We visit the Fanwood Children's Library

Episode Three: We talk with Michelle Shapiro Abraham about MLK Day

Episode Four: We get a behind the scenes tour of John's Meat Market

So you never have to worry about tuning in at the right time. They will always be available to view right here at Scotch Plains Fanwood Patch. If you have an iPhone, the videos also load right on the Patch app. Plus, unlike a TV show, you can interact and talk with other members of the community about the video. We will be doing these regularly, so keep checking back for our next episode.

I think the food is Amazing! The drink prices are also exactly where they need to be to control the rif raf. I would much rather pay 1$ more for a drink and spend time with adults out for a good time and not young kids or adults looking for a redbull and vodka. The top shelf at Flannerys is unique to the entire area. This is bar for people that enjoy the finer aspects of a local pub. I am equally as glad Suntavern has 2$ beers for the people that are going out on a budget and the kids. Its nice to have a choice in such a small town. Oh... I never choose suntavern. Thank you Flannerys!!:) PS: The size is a problem, hope the boys can fix it.
