The annual Italian festival that took place at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church in Scotch Plains opened an hour early to allow special needs children to enjoy the rides and games before the rest of the crowd arrived. In addition to local children and their families, there were also therapy dogs on hand to interact with the kids.
