Scotch Plains Blotter: Theft, Harassment, Fraud and Arrests
The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Theft
October 9, 2012:
A worker at the Union County Vo-tech reported being a victim of a Theft. She stated that unknown suspect(s) removed approximately $40 in cash from her pocketbook.
October 9, 2012:
The manager of a Route 22 gas station reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated a customer received approximately $30 in gas and then left without paying.
October 9, 2012:
A resident of Frank St. reported being a victim of a Burglary. He stated that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) entered his home. Unknown suspect(s) entered by breaking a front window. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed an undetermined about of jewelry.
October, 9 2012:
A resident of Crest Ln. reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed decorations from the front of her house. The decorations were valued at approximately $150.
October 11, 2012:
A resident of Park Ave. reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed the tire caps off his vehicle.
Harrassment
October 9, 2012:
A resident of Roberts Ln. reported being a victim of Harassment. She stated that she has received numerous calls from an unknown phone number.
Fraud
October 9, 2012:
A resident of Westfield Road, Church Avenue reported being a victim of Fraud. She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $700 in purchases on her credit card without her authorization.
Arrests
October 12, 2012:
Marian Delara, a 26-year-old of Wilshire Drive, Union N.J. was arrested for a $500 outstanding warrant issued by the Union court. Officer Lewis stopped Delara for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant. She was transported to H.Q. where she was processed and released.
October 12, 2012:
Ifeoma Scott, a 22-year-old of Reeves Terr. Plainfield N.J. was arrested for a$500 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court. Off. D. Belford stopped Scott for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22. and discovered the warrant. She was transported to H.Q. where she was processed and released.
October 13, 2012:
Shane Sheppard, a 21-year-old of Rahway Rd. Scotch Plains N.J. was arrested for a $1,886 outstanding warrant issued by the Clark court. Officer Mahoney stopped Sheppard for a motor vehicle violation on Rahway Rd. and discovered the warrant. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.
