Children’s Specialized Hospital and Kohl’s Cares are co-hosting a free carnival today in three different locations.  The two have partnered together in an effort to educate the public about children with special needs.  Come out and spend the day learning how Children’s Specialized Hospital helps families with kids with special needs and enjoy a FREE carnival with games, food, prizes and fun for all!

Under the Kohl’s Cares for Kids Program, Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation has received assistance for programs that educate the public about the special needs of children with these challenges.  Since 1999, Kohl’s has donated nearly $1.5 million to Children’s Specialized.  In addition, Kohl’s employees have generously volunteered their time and effort at events for our young patients.

Children’s Specialized Hospital is the preeminent provider of rehabilitation services for children with special needs.  The hospital serves children affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses.  Children’s Specialized Hospital has eight sites in New Jersey and treats 19,000 children each year, making it the largest pediatric rehabilitation system of its kind in the nation.  Services include outpatient services, acute rehabilitation, and long-term care through its sites in Bayonne, Clifton, Mountainside, Toms River, Fanwood, Hamilton, New Brunswick and Roselle Park as well as outreach programs in many communities.
