DESCRIPTION:The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders encourages the p
 ublic to   celebrate cultural diversity by attending the Multicultural F
 air  hosted  by the Union County Vo-Tech School in Scotch Plains on Satu
 rday\,  May 12  from 11 am to 3 pm.\n&ldquo\;We are privileged to live i
 n a County that encompasses many people  from  various cultural backgrou
 nds and ethnicities\,&rdquo\; noted Freeholder  Mohamed  Jalloh.&nbsp\; 
 &ldquo\;The Freeholder Board is proud to support the Vo-Tech  school  an
 d we urge people to take part in the celebration.&rdquo\;\nAs part of th
 e Multicultural Fair\, school clubs and organizations  will  have booths
  with a display of games\, cultural dancing\, music and  many  activitie
 s for adults and children.&nbsp\; It is a day of fun\, music\, and  food
  that gives participants the opportunity to experience cultural  diversi
 ty on various levels.\nWith help from Breadsmith in Cranford\, Pinho&rsq
 uo\;s Bakery in Roselle and   Barshay&rsquo\;s restaurant in Roselle\, a
 dmission to this event is offered  free  of charge to the public.&nbsp\;
  Half of the proceeds from food and booth  sales  will benefit "Water is
  Life\,&rdquo\; a charity that  supplies filtering  straws to people in 
 third world countries in an  effort to prevent  water-related illnesses.
 \nIn addition\, the Vo-Tech School will also be hosting&nbsp\;a food dri
 ve  with  the statewide community service project\, New Jersey Future Fa
 rmers  of  America Against Hunger\, and will be collecting canned and/or
  dried  goods  that will be donated to the Rutgers Against  Hunger Progr
 am. &nbsp\; Donating  participants will be given a free plant from the F
 FA Club for  their  contributions while supplies last. The Multicultural
  Fair is a day  of  cultural awareness created by the Multicultural  Clu
 b of the Union  County Vocational-Technical School District.\nFor additi
