Love your dog and want it to succeed as a valued member of your family? Come to Scotch Plains Public Library on Thursday, January 24th from 7 to 8PM, for tips from an expert.

Iris Fryzel, accompanied by her retired service dog, Mindy, will discuss the history of dogs, how they think learn and behave and how we train them using positive methods based upon the latest developments in training theory and practice, and behavior modification sanctioned by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB).  Please bring your questions to the program but leave your four-legged companion at home

Iris Fryzel  is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers) Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and holds both an M.S. and B.S. in Wildlife Biology and Management.Iris was also a Canine Officer with the US Department of Homeland Security/US Department of Agriculture

In addition to a large collection of books, the library also offers a selection of magazines, audio books, videos, music CDs, classes, computers, events and more. This family-friendly library has a separate children’s room with a large open area for kids to play. The room also has a set of computers, decorated like animal faces, for kids to do online research.
