Easter Sunrise Celebration at IHM

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish is hosting a Sunrise Celebration of Easter on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 5:30am. 

This Celebration will incorporate elements of two religious cultures represented in its community, those of Italy and of the Philippines.  The Celebration will open with a Mass in the Main Church celebrating the Resurrection with accompaniment provided by a children’s “Angel Choir.”  There will be a  breakfast buffet following in Father Byrne Auditorium downstairs.  The morning will conclude with Easter Egg Hunts for both toddlers and older children; the festivities should end by 7:30am.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, founded in 1964, offers church worship services, youth groups, choir groups, book study groups, religious education for all ages and more. The church is also involved in Habitat for Humanity and Interfaith Council for the Homeless, and it hosts at least three blood drives a year. The church also established its own food pantry more than 28 years ago that gives to families in need. Donations for the food pantry are collected after mass on the third Sunday of each month.
