DESCRIPTION:The Union County Board of Chosen  Freeholders and the Departm
 ent of Parks and Community Renewal are  pleased to offer a workshop for 
 adults\, 18 and older\, on healthy cooking  for spring.&nbsp\; The progr
 am is being offered at Trailside  Nature &amp\; Science Center in Mounta
 inside on Thursday\, May 3\, 2012 from  7 pm &ndash\; 9 pm.&nbsp\; The f
 ee is $15 for Union County residents and $20 for  out-of-county particip
 ants.&nbsp\; Pre-registration is preferred but walk-ins  will be accommo
 dated as space permits.\n&ldquo\;This unique cooking class for adults wi
 ll help you  appreciate the fresh tastes of springtime produce while you
  learn some  new\, healthy recipes\,&rdquo\; said Freeholder Chairman Al
 exander Mirabella. &nbsp\;  &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&n
 bsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\nThe workshop will teach how to transf
 orm simple\,  fresh produce into healthy\, delectable dishes.&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\; Registered dietitian and  nutritionist Debbie Naha will lead this co
 oking class with a focus on  seasonal ingredients.&nbsp\; Ms. Naha is a&
 nbsp\;professional  teacher of&nbsp\;Family and Consumer Science.&nbsp\;
  She holds a Master&rsquo\;s degree in  Food and Nutrition&nbsp\;from Ne
 w York University.\nThe step-by-step cooking demonstration includes  han
 ds-on activities for participants.&nbsp\; A sampling menu will include  
 yogurt cheese with olive oil and spring herbs\, saut&eacute\;ed broccoli
  rabe  with orecchiette pasta\, and spring vegetable and legume  salad.&
