DESCRIPTION:The Union County  Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to p
 resent an exhibit of gicl&eacute\;e  fine art prints of paintings by Wes
 tfield artist Gina Minichino in the  gallery space at the Union County O
 ffice  of Cultural and Heritage Affairs\, located at 633 Pearl Street in
   Elizabeth.&nbsp\;  A selection of her work entitled &ldquo\;Eat This!&
 rdquo\; is on display at the Pearl Street Gallery until March 30.&nbsp\;
  Gallery hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays.\n&ldquo\;The  talent and
  diversity of our county artists ensure an inspiring and  interesting va
 riety of exhibitions at the Pearl Street Gallery\,&rdquo\; said  Freehol
 der Bette  Jane Kowalski\, liaison to the Union County Cultural and Heri
 tage  Programs Advisory Board.&nbsp\; &ldquo\;We are delighted to displa
 y the colorful fine  art prints of Gina Minichino&rsquo\;s entertaining 
 paintings.&rdquo\;\nGina has exhibited her work in many galleries in  Ne
 w Jersey and New York including the Braunsdorf Gallery in Westfield\,  t
 he Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit\, the Renee Foosaner  Gall
 ery in Millburn\, Maxwell&rsquo\;s in Hoboken\, the Staten  Island Museu
 m\, and the Artist&rsquo\;s Gallery in Ridgewood.\n&ldquo\;I grew up wit
 h a pencil\, pen or  marker in my hand. After graduating from Westfield 
 High School\, I knew I  wanted to go to art school in New York to learn 
 to draw cartoons\,&rdquo\;  Minichino said.&nbsp\; &ldquo\;At the School
  of Visual  Arts I studied with great cartoonists like Harvey Kurzman\, 
 Will Eisner  and Sam Viviano. After graduation\, I took a painting class
  and found a  new passion.&rdquo\;\n&ldquo\;I loved exploring light and 
 color  and learning how it all worked\,&rdquo\; Gina added.&nbsp\; &ldqu
 o\;I continue to paint things  that fascinate me&hellip\;like people&hel
 lip\;and junk food.&rdquo\;\nIn 2011\, Ms. Minichino exhibited in the 25
 th International Juried Show at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in 
  Summit.&nbsp\; In 2009\, she exhibited at the Arts Guild New Jersey in 
 Rahway  and at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. &nbsp\; These days sh
 e teaches private art classes in her Westfield studio.&nbsp\; Her  varie
 d and interesting artwork can be seen at www.ginaminichino.com.\nUnion C
