Join us for Monday Nights are Special entertaining performances & parties for the entire family each Monday at 7 pm beginning June 25, 2012 sponsored by the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library, and all part of our Summer Reading Club: Dream Big, READ!

June 25th – Summer Reading Club Begins with Character Greetings and photo-ops & Bedtime Snacks as we begin our Summer Reading Logs
July 2nd – “The Bats of New Jersey” – presented by a Bat expert and Biologist MacKenzie Hall of the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey will give a colorful slideshow talk, auction a bat house, and demonstrate how to find night-flying bats using an acoustic detector (stick around or come back around 8:45 for this amazing part of the program).
July 9th – Traveling Lantern Theatre Company presents Peter Pan.
July 16th – Full Effect Productions presents “Dreams, Books & Magic”
July 23rd - “Jedi Academy” Family Fun Show. You are invited to learn the ways of the Jedi with Panniken Moonjumper, a true Master of Intergalactic fun and adventure. Kids encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars character.
July 30th - Enjoy, Explore India presents “Raakshas Bhaakshas” – Do you know the story of the little Indian boy who beat a giant and married the princess? Come and listen to the captivating folk tale then create a mask of a monstrous giant.
August 6th – Alien Convention – Closing Games & Party. Come dressed as an alien or intergalactic traveler.

Fanwood Memorial Library is the public library for Fanwood. Located off North Avenue, the library's collection contains nearly 50,000 items, including DVDs, books-on tape, videos, free public high-speed access to the Internet, over 100 magazine subscriptions, online access to a wide variety of electronic resources and much more. The director is Dan Weiss.
Thanks to a reciprocal borrowing program with the Scotch Plains Public Library, residents of Fanwood are able to check out items there as well.
