DESCRIPTION:On Thursday evening\, June 7\, 2012\,  at 6pm\, Temple Beth O
 &rsquo\;r/ Beth Torah of Clark will have the distinct  privilege of pres
 enting its L&rsquo\;Chaim To Life Award to Dr. Margaret  McMenamin\, Pre
 sident of Union County College\, and Dr. Sanford and Mrs.  Arlene Finema
 n\, founders of the &ldquo\;Yes\, We Care Soup Kitchen.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\n
 Dr. McMenamin\, a distinguished academician\, is assisting Union County 
  College in transforming its role from a local community college to a  l
 eader in 21st century academic excellence.&nbsp\; Union County  College 
 offers classes in Elizabeth\, Cranford\, and Plainfield.&nbsp\; Dr.  McM
 enamin is dedicated in her pursuit to continue to offer academic and  vo
 cational opportunities to the local community\, &ldquo\;I am humbled by 
 this  recognition and thank everyone involved for their support.&rdquo\;
 &nbsp\;\nDr. Sanford and Arlene Fineman have been institutions in the Un
 ion  County medical community for over a quarter of a century\, are life
 long  congregants of Temple Beth O&rsquo\;r/Beth Torah\, and are also se
 rious about  giving back to the Union County community.&nbsp\; They have
  worked with dozens  of volunteers as they have served thousands of meal
 s to in-need Union  County residents.&nbsp\; Temple Beth O&rsquo\;r/Beth
  Torah co-President Lillian Makow  knows the Finemans well\, "Our Temple
  Beth O'r/Beth Torah family is  devoted to the principle of Tikun Olam\,
  repairing the world\, as are Dr.  McMenamin and Dr. and Mrs. Fineman.&n
 bsp\; It is only fitting that we honor  these exemplary people at our fi
 rst L'Chaim To Life Award Dinner." The  Finemans countered\, &ldquo\;We 
 are very honored to be chosen by our fellow  congregants to be the recip
 ients of the prestigious L&rsquo\;Chaim Award.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\nProceeds 
 from the dinner will be used to fund the vital work of the  synagogue wh
 ich is one of the most dynamic egalitarian synagogues in  Union County.&
 nbsp\;Temple Beth O&rsquo\;r/Beth Torah has been serving multiple  gener
 ations within the Union County area for over 50 years. Cantor  Steven St
 ern serves as the Spiritual Leader of the Synagogue and is  looking forw
 ard to the June 7th event\, &ldquo\;We take very  seriously our commitme
 nt to meet the spiritual and social needs of our  community.&nbsp\; Our 
 L&rsquo\;Chaim Dinner honorees are exemplars of the kind of  leadership 
 that makes a difference in the quality of life for all.&rdquo\;\nTickets
