DESCRIPTION:The Borough of Fanwood &ldquo\;Green Team&rdquo\; is looking 
 for  &ldquo\;green&rdquo\; vendors to be a part of their inaugural Green
  Fair scheduled for  Tuesday\, June 26\, 2012 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm.&nbsp
 \; The event will be  held in LaGrande Park as part of Fanwood&rsquo\;s 
 annual &ldquo\;Party in the Park&rdquo\;  and it&rsquo\;s kick off to th
 e summer music series.\nIndividuals\,  organizations and businesses are 
 all invited to be a part of sharing  their &ldquo\;green&rdquo\; story a
 s part of this educational and enlightening event.&nbsp\;  Individuals a
 nd organizations are free\, while businesses are asked to  contribute $2
 5.&nbsp\; Registration forms are available by visiting the  Fanwood webs

 e Green Team at FanwoodGreenTeam@gmail.com.\nThe Borough  of Fanwood bec
 ame one of over 375 municipalities to register to work  towards becoming
  a &ldquo\;green&rdquo\; partner and achieving certification as part  of
  the Sustainable NJ campaign in the fall of 2011.&nbsp\; Mayor Mahr and 
 the  Borough Council appointed an extensive and diverse committee to wor
 k on  completing a host of action items\, many of which we are proud to 
 have  documented and have targeted other activities that will enhance al
 l that  we currently do.&nbsp\; Mayor Colleen Mahr is behind this initia
 tive 100% and  stated &ldquo\;I am so thrilled that this enthusiastic gr
 oup of local  volunteers has stepped forward to take on this challenging
  task.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;  &ldquo\;Fanwood is committed to embracing and bei
 ng recognized for the  Sustainable community that it is\,&rdquo\; she ad
 ded.\nThe Green  Team\, led by chairwoman\, Donna Dolce\, indicated that
  some of those items  already completed include\; having a current Envir
 onmental Resource  Inventory\, activities generated by our Shade Tree Co
 mmission\, an  impressive recycling and waste management program\, to na
 me just a few.&nbsp\;  They have also proposed and have had the council 
 adopt an anti-idling  ordinance\, worked with the YMCA on a Community We
 llness initiative and  are partnering with our schools in support of our
  &ldquo\;Safe Routes to  School&rdquo\; program.\nWe invite  all of our 
 residents to join us at this event\, learn how to save money  through so
 lar heating for your home\, register to be an energy partner or  simply 
 learn about the many exciting things going on in our community  from our
  highly recognized recycling program\, learn how to build a rain  garden
 \, or become a partner in the activities happening in our own  Nature Ce
 nter.\n&nbsp\;
