DESCRIPTION:The  biggest social event for man&rsquo\;s best friend will b
 e back again in Scotch  Plains today Sunday\, May 20\, 2012.&nbsp\;&nbsp
 \;\nThe Fanwood-Scotch Plains Rotary Club  will hold its second annual "
 Woof Walk\," a 1.5-mile fundraiser for the  Rotary\, the Scotch Plains P
 olice Department's K-9 unit and the Fanwood Police Department's bike pat
 rol.&nbsp\; The route starts and ends at Alan M. Augustine Park\,  adjac
 ent to the Municipal Building. Check-in begins at 10 am\, and the  walk 
 starts at 11 am.&nbsp\;\nThere will be water and trash receptacles along
  the  way as well as many Rotary volunteers.&nbsp\; Doggie waste bags wi
 ll also be  provided.&nbsp\; The event will feature music\, refreshments
 \, K-9 unit  demonstrations\, door prizes and contests for "Amazing Dog 
 Trick\,"  "Look-a-Like\," "Face Only a Mother Could Love" and "Best Dres
 sed."  &nbsp\;&nbsp\;Every participant receives a free dog bandanna whil
 e supplies last.&nbsp\; Professional portraits will be offered at the ev
 ent by Pictures By Joel Studio.  &nbsp\;Participants will have the chanc
 e to &nbsp\;purchase portraits of their dogs  either individually or wit
 h their families.\nLast  year&rsquo\;s Woof Walk was a howling success\,
  with over a hundred dogs  participating (all of them brought at least o
 ne human being) and this  was despite the dreary\, rainy weather.&nbsp\;
  Dogs enjoyed healthy treats\,  tried on specially made outfits and got 
 their nails trimmed.&nbsp\; Now that  the word is out\, more dogs are ex
 pected to participate - any dog who is  anybody will be there.&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;\nRegistration costs $10 in advance\, and $15 on even
