Public Open House Scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

            After opening its doors in June 2010 as a boutique studio offering  both Pilates and GYROKINESIS®/GYROTONIC® exercise method, NJ Mind Body Spirit at 288 South Avenue in Fanwood is proud to announce that it now solely focuses on the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, making it the first and only studio in Union county to offer this unique, highly beneficial methodology.
            To celebrate this milestone and introduce the studio's offerings to the public, Owner/Director Shirley Wallitsch is hosting a special Open House on Thursday, November 14, 2013 which will feature delicious catered food, wine and other beverages, as well as live music, works of art on display .
            Wallitsch, who initially got her certifications in Polestar Pilates, discovered the GYROTONIC® Method in an effort to enhance her strength and flexibility. She has since devoted countless hours to the methods as a student and a teacher, and opened her studio to make it available to all people. "I'm delighted to bring this amazing methodology to my community because of the profound positive effect it has had on my life," says Wallitsch, who is a Certified GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® trainer and an authorized GYROKINESIS® Pre-Trainer. "It's something that can be done by anyone, and has proven to have tremendous benefits ranging from increased spinal mobility to greater strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and an overall feeling of wellness
            The GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® methods, which comprise the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, were developed by Juliu  Horvath, a professional dancer from Romania, as a way of healing himself and regaining his strength and agility after suffering debilitating injuries his dance career. GYROKINESIS® exercises are performed on a mat and chair, while  GYROTONIC® exercises are performed on custom-designed equipment. Both exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions, with corresponding breathing, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. ."

The  methods can be adapted to fit anyone's ability, and have benefited people from all walks of life, from dancers and athletes to college students, senior citizens and the disabled.

Mind Body Spirit Enterprises is a fully equipped  GYROTONIC® studio, with 4 GYROTONIC® Cobra EliteTowers and specialized GYROTONIC® equipment: Archway, Jumping Stretch-Board and Leg Extension Unit.
