Cooper Road Work Continues, 'Teen Scene' at the Library

Cooper Road road work continues: Work commenced Monday morning on Cooper Road. The contractor will begin by closing only the westbound lane of Cooper Road between Fenimore Drive and Terrill Road today. Ponderosa Park will be open and can only be accessed by turning onto Cooper Road from Terrill Road. Through traffic will be allowed eastbound on Cooper between Terrill and Martine. Traffic turning onto Cooper at Martine Avenue will stopped and detoured onto Fenimore Drive. There will be no through traffic eastbound on Cooper. Police advise to be careful while driving on Cooper Road as workers and large trucks will be in the area throughout the day. The Scotch Plains Police Department will be on-site enforcing the closure.

Teen Scene: Teens going into grades 6 to 12 are welcome to play Wii, Nok-Hockey, and other games at 2 p.m. at the Scotch Plains library.

Fanwood Rec Commission meets: The Fanwood Recreation Commission will hold a public meeting at 7:45 p.m. at the LaGrande Park recreation building.
