Fanwood Recycling Center Open, Free Pizza at Stage House

Free food alert: It's free pizza Wednesday at the Stage House Tavern in Scotch Plains from 10 p.m. to midnight. Plus, there's also the daily free summer barbecue from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Cooper Road closure: Cooper Road will be closed in both directions between Fenimore Drive and Terrill Road on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. till approximately 5:30 p.m. There will be no thru traffic on Cooper Road between Martine Avenue and Terrill Road. Please follow the detour signs. There will be no motor vehicle access to Ponderosa Park during this closure. If you wish to use the park, you must walk in. Access to the closed portion of Cooper Road will be limited to residents, emergency and construction vehicles only.

Scotch Plains management corp meeting: The Scotch Plains Management Corporation regularly scheduled meeting of August 21 was changed to today at 7 p.m. in room 202 of the municipal building.
