What's happening today in Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

Ladies Night Out at Be Craftful: Proceeds from the crafts that are made along with 10% of all retail sales will be donated in support of the Push-Up Princesses, a local team walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Make a decoupage picture frame, enjoy light refreshments, participate in a raffle for baskets and have a night out with new and old friends. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

First Friday's Place
at SPFHS: The goal of Friday's Place is to provide a secure environment for 7th and 8th graders to have fun and hang with friends. The evening's activities include a DJ, open gym basketball, nok hockey, ping pong, pizza and refreshments. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Play Book Bingo at the Fanwood Library:
...and win books! From 3:45 - 4:15 p.m. Children must be able to read or willing to share with someone who can. Everyone is a winner at Book Bingo.

Cooper Road closed: Cooper Rd will be closed btw Fenimore and Terrill Rd for the remainder of the week including Saturday. The Water Comp is currently working in the immediate area of the entrance to Ponderosa Park making it dangerous to drive in. SPFHS football: The Raiders play Voorhees away at 7 p.m.

Arts Week at the Y: All week long, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will host a variety of activities for the community including artwork displayed from the Y’s members. Guitarist John LaGrecca and Kevin Switek will play at noon on Wednesday and Friday. Throughout the week, art from students in the Airbrush and Digital Photography classes from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School will be on display. On Thursday at 6:30 p.m., members of the cast of Mulan will be performing at the Y. On Friday, at 7:30 p.m. Adam Bine will offer a free beginners tap class.
