Poe Performed at All Saint's Church, Fun For Moms at Be Craftful, SPFHS in UCT Semifinals

What's happening today in Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

See the Chamber of Horrors at All Saint's Church: An 
evening of performance and horror centered around the works of our greatest author of mystery, horror and imagination: Edgar Allan Poe. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and 9 p.m. Enacted by professional performers in the atmosphere of a haunted house. Be prepared for the unexpected.

SPFHS sports teams compete in county tournament semifinals: The Varsity Boys Soccer team plays Westfield in the semifinals of the Union County Tournament at Kean University at 7:30 p.m. The Varsity Volleyball team takes on Dayton at home at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the UCT. 

Fun for moms at Be Craftful: Join the Amazing Mommies of Westfield for a masquerade at 7 p.m. Get into the Halloween spirit and create your own mask, indulge in a mini massage and sweet treats from Mara's, network with other moms and enjoy cocktails (BYOB). Registration in advance is required, $35 per person.

Check out the newest Oh' Brian's: 
On Friday, Clark's Hyatt Hills Pub (formerly Senorita's) changes its name to Oh' Brian's On the Green, completing the restaurant's new ownership by Fanwood Oh' Brian's owner's Brian Costello and Brian Walter.

P.A.L. Basketball tryouts: Tryouts will take place Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at the Terrill Road and SPFHS gyms. 

Donate to the Junior Women's Club's annual coat drive: The group will be collecting new or gently used infant, children and adult coats only. They may be dropped off at the Scotch Plains Library on Bartle Avenue or the Jewish Community Center on Martine Avenue during their normal business hours. Donations will be distributed to local citizens in need. 

Check out Jumble Store week: The Jumble Store will be "Salebrating" its 80th anniversary of serving the community during "Jumble Store Week." Happenings include: Tuesday, Wine Cork Pull Sale and Candy Corn Contest; Wednesday, Extra Stamp Day, All shoppers making a purchase receive an extra stamp on their loyalty card; Thursday, Sip 'n Shop-4pm-6pm-Enjoy light refreshments while you shop; Friday, Buy one item, get another item for 50% off; Saturday, 10/26-Holiday Kick-Off Sale. The store is owned and operated by the Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield and serves to raise the necessary funds for the league's charitable programs.
