Jazz at GrilleStone, Magic at Stage House

What's happening today in Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

Stress management class at RWJ: Stress educator Frank Mathews will give a talk on stress management at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. 

Say abra cadabra: Dinner with a side of sleight of hand? Tableside magic happens every Thursday at the Stage House. 

Live jazz at GrilleStone: Three-piece jazz band the Trish Matta Trio plays form 7 to 10 p.m. 

Ready, Set, Read at Scotch Plains Library: This program is a fun way for 3 to 5 year olds to build listening skills while enjoying stories, songs, rhymes and more. Registration is required and is limited to Scotch Plains and Fanwood cardholders only. 

SPFHS sports: The varsity girls soccer team, who just received the number one seed in the Union County Tournament and broke into the Star-Ledger Top 20 at number 19, takes on Summit (home, 4 p.m.). The boys varsity soccer team plays Linden (away, 4p.m.), girls tennis plays Summit (home, 4 p.m.) and girls volleyball plays New Providence (home, 4 p.m.)
