BRUNNER SCHOOL CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL DAY

Some arrived in pairs, some in groups, and even a few in packs! On October 9, approximately 100 Brunner School students and their families participated in the “International Walk to School Day”.

The sunny autumn morning was the perfect backdrop for the annual event. With over thirty countries participating, the event aims to promote physical activity, practice and reinforce pedestrian safety, help the environment by reducing car emissions, and promote overall community spirit.

Staff and PTA members greeted Brunner students and awarded walkers with stickers of accomplishment. Was the day a success? As one parent mentioned, her children now want to make the .9 mile walk a weekly event!
