Congregation Beth Israel to Hold Boardwalk Empire Fundraiser

 

Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains with hold a Boardwalk Empire Fundraiser on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the synagogue.  The event is open to the community.

The synagogue’s social hall will be transformed into a gaming hall, complete with tables for Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, Texas Hold ‘Em and boardwalk-style games.  Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on and win valuable prizes.

The event will include an open bar, wine and beer.  In addition, there will be a dairy dessert buffet. 

The evening will also feature both live and silent auctions. Sample auction items include theater tickets, spa services and Yankee seats behind third base.

 “This year we’ve added new items to our auction so we’re expecting the evening to be  fun and exciting.”  said Debbie Friedman, Ways and Means Committee Co-Chair, Congregation Beth Israel. 

Boardwalk Empire costs $54 per person, which includes $50 in gambling money. For more information, contact the synagogue office at (908) 889-1830.  Congregation Beth Israel is located at 18 Shalom Way (corner of Martine Ave.), Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
