Karen Notare and Paul DiDario Free Concert Postponed to Sunday June 1 at 3pm

 The next “Music for the Soul” Concert featuring world-renowned soprano Karen Notare with master pianist Paul DiDario has been postponed from this Sunday.  This celebrated concert is now scheduled for Sunday, June 1st at 3:00 pm at Willow Grove Presbyterian Church in Scotch Plains.  This free concert is funded by a grant from the Presbytery of Elizabeth

 

Spanish music will be featured, along with selections from Mozart and others. Karen Notare will sing “De Espana Vengo” by Pablo Luna, “Del Cabello mas Sutil” by Fernando Obradors, “Canciones Anatorias” by Enrique Granados and other classic pieces. Paul DiDario will accompany Ms. Notare and he will also play a piano solo, “Triana” by Isaac Albeniz.

Ms. Notare is an accomplished artist with performances in the U.S. and around the world. She has been the recipient of numerous awards both for her impeccable performances and for her excellence in music education.  Notare is a seasoned and licensed New Jersey music teacher who has educated students from pre-k to the professional level. She is currently the music director of Unity Charter School in Morristown. She is on the voice faculty of the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn. She maintains a private beginning piano and vocal studio in Flanders, N.J.

Mr. DiDario received his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from the Juilliard School. His performance highlights include performances with Metropolitan Opera Star, Jerome Hines, a recital as Franz Liszt, and a benefit recital for the Christopher Reeve Foundation.  DiDario is a certified teacher in the Russian Technical Regimen for the Piano and a certified Suzuki Piano instructor. DiDario is the Executive Director of the Long Hill Music Center in Madison, a community school of the arts, which offers private lessons to students of all ages. He has also been on the private music faculty of the Farbrook School in Short Hills since 1990. He has been the Director of Music at Willow Grove Presbyterian Church for the last 9 years.

Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is located in Scotch Plains at 1961 Raritan Road, across the street from the Scotch Plains Southside Firehouse and Southside Soccer Field, and near the corner of South Martine Avenue. All our facilities are handicap-accessible with ample on-sire parking.
