NAMI UC to Host Speaker on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Carol M. Pedro of the Youth and Family Counseling Service will speak about the positive effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at NAMI Union County chapter’s public presentation on Tuesday, April 22nd at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 1003 North Ave., Westfield, N.J.

The forum offers an opportunity to become acquainted with this approach to counseling.

Ms. Pedro writes a monthly article “In Session” for the Westfield Leader and provides services to local schools and other organizations. Prior to this position, Carol developed and implemented several children and family programs for hospitals and other private mental health facilities.

She holds a masters’ degree in counseling and is a state licensed professional counselor. She has 15 years of experience.
