Scotch Plains-Fanwood Music Boosters awards grants to district teachers
On January 16th, Scotch Plains-Fanwood Music Boosters Association awarded 3 separate grants to Scotch Plains-Fanwood music teachers, to be used to improve an already superb music program.
SPFMBA was delighted to be able to fund these Music Department projects in our district this year. All were invited to join them as they congratulated the elementary and middle school teachers who were recipients of the grants.
Who are the Music Boosters and what do we do? As Mr. Charlie Jackson describes the Music Boosters to his students' parents, "The Music Boosters are the PTA for the Music Department". A simple yet true statement.

The constitution of SPFMBA by-laws state that the "purpose of the organization is to support, encourage and assist the excellent music education throughout our district", and as part of that commitment, this first-ever grant program was just another step in continuing that mission.
