The youth group of Willow Grove Presbyterian Church will present some positive ways to use technology as parents, grandparents, and friends. On Sunday July 20th at 11:30 a.m., the youth group will transform air-conditioned Alexander Hall into an “internet café” for teaching the basics of social media. The youths will work in small groups to address several topics and will also be able to answer individual questions.
This will be a basic introduction to Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Instagram, e-mail, texting, YouTube, Reddit and other social media and technology. The youths will also be introducing verbal and written terms related to social media and other forms of technological communication. This is a free public program with no need to pre-register. Attendees are invited to bring their devices and lots of questions.
