Teens for Teens Host Inaugural Gala

On Thursday evening, March 13, 2014,Teens for Teens, a Union County student run organization that raises money to help teens throughout NJ, hosted an extremely successful charity event at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, NJ. This year's inaugural gala benefitted Robins' Nest.  Robins' Nest is one of New Jersey’s most successful children’s services agencies offering a home to at-risk children and youth, helping their families take control of their lives, and supporting foster and adoptive families.

Although the night was planned and executed entirely by teenagers, the sit down dinner gala was universally lauded as being adult-like, professional and efficiently run. Over 150 guests filled the Grand Ballroom at the Stone House raising over $15,000. In addition to raising funds through dinner ticket sales, there were an abundance of basket raffles and silent auction items, all donated by families and businesses. The outcome of the evening exceeded the expectations of all involved, causing many to be excited for the future of Teens for Teens and future fundraising events.

The evening included presentations from Robins' Nest and the Teens for Teens Boards.  Additionally, throughout the evening, there was a variety of entertainment from the talented students of Academy for Performing Arts, UCVTS.

Teens for Teens was started in 2013 and hopes to better the lives of teenagers throughout New Jersey. To learn more about Teen for Teens visit their website at www.teensforteensnj.org.
