Author And Longtime Washington Post Editor Harry Rosenfeld Comes To The JCC, Reports Say

In his evocative memoir, From Kristallnacht to Watergate, longtimeWashington Post newspaperman Harry Rosenfeld tells of his childhood in Hitler’s Berlin, where he saw his father taken by the Gestapo and witnessed his synagogue burning on Kristallnacht, the prelude to the Holocaust, according to thealternativepress.com.  

Rosenfeld was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1929 and emigrated with his father, mother and sister to America ten years later.  He graduated from New York's Stuyvesant High School and Syracuse University and undertook graduate studies in public policy and international relations at Columbia.  He served in the Army as a military historian in the Korean War, according to thealternativepress.com
