Good. I am not political and I don't know if this is politically correct nor do I know if this is the best place to have this seen. This event is pathetic. Lets get our house in order first. The dangers in the next few months of piles of leaves blocking vehicular travel and parking needs to be addressed. Additional leaf removal sweeps need to be scheduled, and not while students r being dropped off to walk to school! I suggest SP stop picking up Xmas trees and replace with more branch and leaf removal which affects ALL homeowners. If you want to buy a Xmas tree, fine. Removal should b at your own expense. A central location for drop off should b offered

Hi SP...you are 100% correct when you wondered if this is the proper forum for your rant. It isn't. How do you go from talking about your distaste for the SP celebration to your distaste for Christmas tree pick up? The need to pick up leaves and branches more frequently and efficiently is a legitimate concern. Why should this concern be linked to cutting off Christmas tree pick up? I think in a climate where everyone is striving for religious tolerance and understanding, a person of ANY religion or NO religion would realize that the all people of SP/F make sacrafices in the name of tolerance. Chopping up a few trees to turn them into mulch is probably the smallest of them.

My SACRIFICES and tolerances are right up there with the rest of society. The link involves the cost to the taxpayer. And I for one want my tax money going to a service that I receive! My town does not pick up my garbage, nor does my town does not include my sewer fees in my property taxes. My town used to offer a yearly spring clean up. My town used to offer middle school sports. I feel I have SACRIFICED enough.

I think what march is trying to say is that they were cancelling a street fair. It is not even Halloween yet. WHY are you talking @ CHRISTMAS trees. It seems you just dislike your town so move.

Hi SP...glad to hear you are alone in your town. No one else in SP has any of those issues. We all get our garbage picked up weekly, our sewer fees are included in our property taxes and we ALL get spring clean up...except you. All of our taxes go to exactly what we want...except you. I appreciate your frustration. I share the burden that OUR taxes place upon us. But I am happy that Christmas trees are picked up...that's my tax dollars FINALLY at work:) PS: This post is about the cancellation of SP day. Plenty of other threads/headlines that could properly address your present tax concerns.
