Donate Books to the Friends of the Scotch Plains Library's Annual Sale

The organization is seeking clean, salable books with no torn or marked pages, as well as books on CD, music CDs and DVDs.

The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library next week will begin collecting items for its upcoming Book Sale in March. The organization is seeking clean, salable books with no torn or marked pages. Both hardcover and paperbacks will be accepted, as well as books on CD, music CDs and DVDs.

The Friends request that donations do not include older or time-sensitive materials such as videotapes, records, magazines and textbooks.

The scheduled collection dates and times are as follows:
Jan. 18 Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Jan. 25 Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Feb. 1 Saturday 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Feb. 8 Saturday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Feb. 15 Saturday 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Feb. 22 Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
March 1 Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Members of the Friends will be available at each of these times to assist with transporting of the books from cars. The Friends are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to supporting the programming and development of the library. Donations are tax deductible and receipts are available at the front desk.
