Free Family High Holy Day Services at Temple Sholom

On Rosh HaShanah (Monday, September 17) and Yom Kippur (Wednesday, September 26), Temple Sholom of Fanwood/Scotch Plains invites members of the community to free family-oriented religious services.

On both days, at 10 am the congregation will hold a young family service in the Temple Sholom chapel located at the Fanwood Presbyterian Church. Led by Director of Education Michelle Shapiro Abraham and guitarist Rebekah Sedwin, this service intertwines music, story telling and age-appropriate worship to create a High Holy Day experience for families with children ages 0 to 7. Rsvp to 908-889-4900 or email office@sholomnj.org.

Also on both days, at 2 pm there will be a family Torah service in the main sanctuary. Join Rabbi Joel Abraham and Cantor Darcie Sharlein for an interactive family service for all ages. Stand with the rabbi on the bimah as he reads Torah, hear the High Holy Day melodies and get a taste of the congregation’s High Holy Day liturgy. No rsvp is required.
