Jim Fryer’s Celebration Dixie - Scotch Plains Library

The Scotch Plains Public Library is pleased to present Jim Fryer’s Celebration Dixie featuring Ken Salvo, NJ Wizard of the Banjo on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm.

Jim Fryer (brass horns) and Ken Salvo (banjo and guitarist) will perform traditional and classic jazz from the first half of the 20th century.  With an accent on the music of New Orleans, Chicago swing, New York speakeasies, the West Coasts revival, and fun vocals to enliven the afternoon, Celebration Dixie will heat up the February afternoon.

The concert will be open to the public without charge.  No registration is required.  In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather illness or other events, please check the Library’s website: www.Scotlib.org.  The Scotch Plains Public Library is located at 1927 Bartle Avenue, one block from Park Avenue, in the center of the township.
