Fanwood Presbyterian Church Sponsors Choral Concert To Benefit FRS

Submitted by Tom Kranz of the Fanwood and Scotch Plains Rescue Squad.

The Fanwood Presbyterian Church sponsored a choral concert to benefit the Fanwood and Scotch Plains Rescue Squads Sunday, May 18, the start of EMS Week.

For the third year in a row, the concert attracted a diverse audience that filled the sanctuary. Admission was free but donations were solicited. Last year, more than $4,000 was raised for the two squads.

This year, the concert raised a total of $2,855 in free will donations, an amount to be split equally between the Fanwood and Scotch Plains Rescue Squads.

A formal check presentation will occur June 4 at the Church.

On behalf of both Rescue Squads, thanks to everyone who attended for their generosity and thanks again to Rev. Jahnke and Mr. Berdos for making the concert happen.
