Letter to the Editor: SPMC Chairman Thanks Those Who Made Holiday at the North Pole a Success

On behalf of the Scotch Plains Management Corporation, Dominick Verdic thanks all of the residents who made the event a success.

To the Scotch Plains Patch:

On behalf of the Scotch Plains Management Corporation (SPMC), I wish to thank everyone who made our first ever "Holiday Party at the North Pole" on December 15 such a success:- to Lisa Schiller who hosted the event at Bigg Playdate and provided an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments;- to our friend Robert LaCosta for ushered in Santa's arrival with his stylish "sleigh";- to Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their elves who delighted our little guests and posed for some 100 free photos of more than 150 people;- to the SPMC staff who coordinated the photo shoot and drawing for the giant toy-filled Christmas stocking;- to Mayor-Elect Kevin Glover and Mrs. Joanne Glover who visited our North Pole and drew the winning Christmas stocking entry form submitted by 10-year-old Christina Scizak of Rahway Road, Scotch Plains;- and to our many patrons who graciously donated many cans and packages of food to assist the Superstorm Sandy Disaster Relief Food Drive.

Your donations have been transferred to Assemblywoman Linda Stender's office for distribution.

Fresh off this success, the SPMC looks forward to our next community event - a free health fair featuring medical, health and fitness professionals from Scotch Plains' central business district - in early February to help all of us keep our New Year's Resolutions.

Happy holidays to all!

DOMINICK VERDIC,
SPMC Chairman
