New Mobile App Feature From Scotch Plains Public Library

The Scotch Plains Public Library has added a feature to its mobile app that makes it easy to find books that are mentioned on television or radio shows. CoverCake includes television shows such as The Today Show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and The Colbert Report; and radio shows such as The Diane Rehm Show and NPR: All Things Considered. In addition to these programs, CoverCake also contains current NY Times Bestseller Lists in fiction and non-fiction.

This is a convenient way for local residents to access books mentioned on their favorite shows, even if they don’t remember the title or author.  The lists link to the library catalog so books can be easily requested.

The library’s mobile app, provided by Boopsie, also allows patrons to search the catalog, check their accounts, download ebooks or audiobooks, find upcoming events, and use databases.
