Scotch Plains Family Raising Money for Their Dogs Surgery

The Citarella Family of Scotch Plains adopted a previously abused dog one month ago, now they are doing whatever it takes to get their dog Bailey hip surgery.

The Citarella family adopted two-year-old Bailey from a kill shelter in Tennessee about a month ago, they are now in the process of raising money for Bailey’s surgery.

Bailey has a history of being abused and is need of surgery to fix her shattered hip, the Citarella’s are raising money for Bailey’s surgery on giveforward.com, a website aimed at raising money for medical and other causes.

Deborah Citarella said that according to doctors, if the surgery is not completed Bailey could lose one of her legs.

Right now Bailey has received 450 dollars in donations, but the family’s goal is $2,500 to complete the surgery.

Deborah Citarella said she will do anything to raise the money, a dog walk, a bake sale and even a doggy photo shoot.

If anyone is interested in helping Deborah start one of these events to raise money for the 11th hour dog rescue contact her at, Tipsonroadtripping@gmail.com.
