Scotch Plains, Fanwood Mayors Thank Businesses for Memorial Day Support

Area businesses received framed photos for giving financial support to the annual Memorial Day Concert for Heroes at the Fanwood train station.

The mayors of Scotch Plains and Fanwood came together to recognize the contributions of businesses from the two towns who helped make this year's Memorial Day Concert for Heroes at the Fanwood train station a success.

Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr and Scotch Plains Mayor Kevin Glover thanked Unity Bank, Dunkin' Donuts and Family Investors for their donations toward producing the holiday event. Each business received a framed photo of the concert with an acknowledgement of their level of financial support.

The May 26 event featured the Westfield Community Band performing in honor of deceased and wounded warriors of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and of other military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
