Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers' Club Holds Annual Holiday Breakfast

Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers' Club holds annual Holiday Breakfast and collects shoeboxes for those affected by Sandy.

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers' Club.

Members of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers' Club joined together this past Saturday at the organization's annual Holiday Breakfast.

As a community outreach for the aftermath of Sandy, we are working with local organizations and families to collect filled shoeboxes for those affected in New Jersey.

The Little Shoebox Project provides needy children & adults with shoeboxes full of thoughtful gifts that they might not otherwise receive.

This small box can make a world of difference to an individual going through an experience many of us struggle to imagine.  We collected over 40 shoeboxes at this Holiday Breakfast.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers’ Club, a nonprofit social organization, offers daytime and evening activities for women and their families. For more information, please see the club Web site athttp://scotchplains.com/newcomers/.

There are two photos attached, one shows children of club members with Santa along with the donated items.  Second photo is a closer view of the shoe boxes.  Please feel free to attach one or both.
