Scotch Plains Recreation Commission Begins Registration for Senior Exercise Programs

A variety of programs will be available for seniors through the Recreation Commission.


The following information was provided by The Scotch Plains Recreation Commission.

The Scotch Plains Recreation Commission is proud to announce their Senior Exercise programs will begin registration on  Friday, January 4th.

The Department will offer 3 programs for Seniors, offering them the opportunity to stay active during the week. 

Senior Zumba will run on Tuesday and Thursdays beginning January 8th  for 12 sessions from 10:30am to 11:30am.  The class will feature cardio, Zumba and some weight training.

Senior Line Dancing will take place on Mondays beginning January 7th with popular instructors Sandy and Lou that will keep the participants in rhythm and moving.  Line Dancing will feature 12 sessions from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Senior Yoga will take place on Mondays at Noon.  Senior Yoga will feature a variety of mat and chair yoga to keep our Seniors active.  All participants hould bring a mat.

Registration can be done in person at the Recreation Office, beginning at 8:30am on January 4th or completed online at www.scotchplainsnj.com and clicking on the “Community Pass” link.
