Scotch Plains Rescue Squad Hosts Fourth Annual Pancake Breakfast

On Feb. 24 the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad will hold its fourth annual rescue squad for five dollars a person.

 

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad.

The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad will be hosting their Fourth Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Please join us for breakfast - bring your family and friends. The Rescue Squad is located at 1916 Bartle Avenue, Scotch Plains. Breakfast will be from 8am to 12pm. Cost is $5.00 per person – all you can eat.

All proceeds will be used to help keep the rescue squad 100% volunteer. The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad has remained a volunteer organization and has served the community for over 75 years. The members dedicate their time to helping their fellow neighbors.

The Squad welcomes new members as well as those interested in contributing time and talent to support the organization. Individuals can apply for membership at eighteen years of age or serve as a cadet at age sixteen. Those ages fourteen or older can serve on the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad Auxiliary. For more information about becoming a Scotch Plains EMT, auxiliary member, volunteer, or to make a donation, contact scotchplainsrescuesquad@gmail.com or call (908) 322-2103 any week night between 6:00p.m. and 11:00p.m.

The Rescue Squad has many services available for those in the community with need. Hospital equipment, such as wheelchairs, canes and crutches are available for use, free of charge. The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad relies on ongoing community support. These contributions enable the Squad to fulfill their motto, Neighbors Helping Neighbors. We Work For Pride Not Pay. The Squad looks forward to continued growth with the township of Scotch Plains as they faithfully serve those who call for help.
