Third-Prize Mega Millions Winning Ticket Sold at Wallis Stationery

Wallis Stationery in Scotch Plains sold one of several lucky $5,000 third prizewinners from the Dec. 17 Mega Millions drawing.

One of the $1,000,000 second prizewinning tickets was also sold in Union County at Kartik Food & News Store, 1198 Raritan Road in Cranford.  The other $1,000,000 winning ticket was sold in Ocean County at 7 Eleven #32947 (S), 1681 Lakewood Rd., Toms River.

The New Jersey Lottery also had 35 other lucky players win the Mega Millions $5,000 third prize, and one of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option.

In addition to the Garden State’s two $1,000,000, $20,000 and 34 $5,000 prize-winning tickets, 421 players each purchased $500 winning tickets. Moreover, 1,333,394 other New Jersey players took home $2,288,092 in prizes ranging from $1 to $200, according to Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director.

“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger.  “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”  

The winning numbers for the Dec. 17 drawing were: 08, 14, 17, 20 and 39.  The Gold Mega Ball was 07, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
