7th Annual Jewish Film Festival of Central New Jersey

Brothers, directed by Igaal Niddam, is playing at the AMC Loews Mountainside Theatre.

Brothers is about two Jewish brothers whose choices and values have driven them apart.  They meet again in Israel after many years.  Dan works the land on a secular kibbutz in the south of Israel.  His deeply religious brother Aaron is a distinguished New York-based lawyer and Torah scholar who is invited to Jerusalem to defend Yeshiva students refusing military service.  The conflict which arises between the two brothers reflects that of a society torn between religious and political principles.

The Film Festival is sponsored by the JCC of Central New Jersey in Scotch Plains.
