Celebrate Purim with Temple Sholom

Join members of Temple Sholom of Fanwood/Scotch Plains as the Jewish community celebrates Purim, a joyous festival that begins March 7.

On Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 10 am until 12:30 pm, Temple Sholom's youth group, SPANCY (Scotch Plains and Nearby Congregational Youth), will hold a free family-friendly carnival with all-new, no-tickets-required games designed to tell the story of Purim.  Enter raffles and watch a Purim play.  Lunch and hamentaschen for sale. Founded in 1913, Temple Sholom is a Reform Jewish Congregation led by Rabbi Joel N. Abraham. The Temple and its religious school are home to about 250 families from the greater Scotch Plains-Fanwood area. Currently residing within the Fanwood Presbyterian Church, the Temple has purchased five acres of land in Scotch Plains for its future home. Temple Sholom is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism.
