“Foto’s of Fanwood” - Photography Contest, as part of Fanny Wood Day

“Foto’s of Fanwood” is a new and exciting addition to the annual Fanny Wood Day Street Fair to be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at South and Martine Avenue in downtown Fanwood.  All amateur photographers, residents and non-residents alike, are invited to participate.

Photographers can submit their favorite photographs of people, places, events or things that can be found in Fanwood, NJ.  Judging and prizes will be award in three categories: ages 12 and under, ages 13 – 21 and adults over 21 years of age.

Photographers may submit as many entries as they choose, but each photograph should be of a different image.  Photos must be at least 5” x 7” and no larger than 10” x 12”.  The photos can be color or black and white and can be displayed or mounted in any manner.

“We look forward to seeing the many creative ways that photographers bring Fanwood to life and can add another layer to our pictorial history” said Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr.

To enter, submit your photo(s) to the Chelsea for Assisted Living, 295 South Avenue, Fanwood, NJ by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011.   The photograph should have the following included on the back of the picture:  title, a brief description of the place, person or object in the photograph, followed by the photographer’s name, age, address, telephone and email address.

Entries become the property of the Borough of Fanwood and can be used on local websites, in newsletters, or on display at municipal promotions or events.
